We are delighted to be returning to New York this week to attend the 65th New York International Antiquarian Book Fair, which will take place at the Park Avenue Armory, 3–6 April.
With us on the stand will be a variety of books and manuscripts from across our departments, among them pioneering early works on mathematics; a host of incunables including two printed in England and two sammelbands; Gabriel Harvey’s anti-Machiavellian annotations and a novella by Machiavelli printed on vellum; a hymnal bound by a German-American bookbinder and a German bookbinder’s album amicorum; books and manuscripts spectacularly illuminated for war heroes, kings, and scholars; as well as a book from Napoleon’s library at Saint Helena; a presentation copy from Sassoon to Cockerell; archives ranging from the scientific to the cinematic; and much more besides. Our fair list is available to view on the Catalogues page of our website, or by following the link here:
