The Ruskin Society Book Prize has been awarded to ‘Carrying Off the Palaces: John Ruskin’s Lost Daguerreotypes’ by Ken and Jenny Jacobson.
In its inaugural year, the prize identifies an outstanding new book concerning the life and work of the Victorian art critic and social thinker John Ruskin, the immediate contexts of his life and work, or themes closely connected to his life and work. The announcement was made at the weekend at The Art Workers’ Guild during the Society’s Birthday Event.
More information about the book, which we published last year, can be found here.
